Cathedral Catholic High of California secured its first Division 3 girls team title with an 83-92 victory against seven-time winner and three-time defending champion Campolindo at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. Lindsay Zimmer covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:45.1 to finish fourth, Alexandria Pena secured seventh in 18:03.6, Scarlett Martin placed 14th in 18:20.8, Kristine Bickler achieved 37th in 19:07.1, Liesel Sellerberg captured 46th in 19:12.2, Patsy Hellman grabbed 72nd in 19:37.6 and Andrea Radilla was 95th in 19:57.2 for the Dons, who had placed runner-up three times and took third once, before capturing the state championship after winning the HOKA Postal Nationals 2-mile team title.
