De La Salle High's Blair Hurlock is aiming to end that streak. Fresh from his North Coast Section championships performance that broke a 12-year-old course record, Hurlock is direct about his goal for Saturday's Division I boys state championship race on the 3.1-mile course at Woodward Park in Fresno. "I'm not going for a specific time," Hurlock said. "I'm going for the win." The Division I state championship boys race, which no East Bay runner has won since James Logan's Yosef Ghebray 10 years ago, starts at 9:40 a.m. The state meet begins with the Division I girls race at 8:30 a.m. and ends with the Division V boys race at 1:25 p.m. At the NCS meet last Saturday, Hurlock finished the 3.0-mile Hayward High course in 14 minutes, 30 seconds to capture the Division I championship. It broke the previous course record, set by two-time Division II state champion Yong-Sung Leal of Arroyo in 2001, by four seconds.
